INTERMEDIATE MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER - CORK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Client is a leading engineering consultancy based in Cork,
offering engineering design and project management services on large
scale projects.

They are quality driven service provider with a strong ethos in new
technology and expanding in the market place. 

Carry out Mechanical, HVAC, & PH project design work as applicable,
working to project deadlines.

Design and specification of the following:

Water Services

Heating/LTHW

HVAC

Fuel

Above Ground Drainage

BMS

Provide quality control for Mechanical Engineering projects across all
offices

Assist Modellers to produce detailed working drawings in 3D and scheme
drawings

Develop project scope with design team / client

Produce budgets and reports for clients

Primarily office based, occasionally attending client meetings as
required

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Degree qualification in Mechanical Design Engineering.

Competent user of the following:

Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.)

Autodesk Applications (AutoCAD/Design Review/Revit MEP).

Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Competent in the design and specification of mechanical building
services in a variety of industry and project types, sizes and
complexity.

Experience of delivering detailed designs through full design cycle.

Knowledge of MEP, including HVAC and Public Health services design.

Understanding of specific building services design tools, such as IES.

Knowledge of CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Standards.

Minumum of 3 years building services consultancy design experience.

Commercial sector knowledge/experience a strong advantage.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) experience will be advantageous.

Mechanical building services design knowledge/experience a strong
advantage.

Knowledge of communal plant heating systems would be advantageous.

Knowledge and experience in the following Mechanical design areas:
Water Services, Heating / LTHW, HVAC, Natural Gas systems above ground
drainage and BMS.

Project management, problem solving, presentation, communication and
IT skills essential.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
